Abstract

The teacher creates a practice of his own that adapts to the characteristics of the context in which he is located, to achieve this he will have to consider his experience, his beliefs and knowledge in relation to teaching. The objective in this article is to identify the exposed theories of the action of educators in relation to personal and social development in preschool children. The type of study is qualitative with a case study design. We worked with three educators from two kindergartens in Mexico City. The strategies, techniques and materials used were writings and planning of the educator, a semi-structured interview. The obtained results indicated that the exposed theories of the action of the educators are oriented to a set of related categories: the autonomy, the personal identity, the interpersonal relations and the strategies of accompaniment for their development in the children. The findings provide empirical evidence around the theories of action in relation to personal and social development in early childhood. These results show that educators, when they enter the classroom, create, apply, adapt and give meaning to the curriculum. the educational reality from within.
